JAMBULAT SARSENOV

Born on November 21, 1961 in the city of Shymkent, South-Kazakhstan region.  

Education
A graduate of the secondary school № 1 of Shymkent city (1978);
In 1985, he graduated from the I.I. Mechnikov St. Petersburg State Medical Academy with a degree in health care organization and management;
In 2003, he completed extramural studies at the T. Ryskulov Kazakh Institute of Economics in Almaty majoring in public administration;
In 2004, he successfully completed the specialized training course "Master of Petroleum Businesses" at Eni Corporate University in Milan, Italy;
In 2005, he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Eurasian National University in Astana, qualification - International Relations.

Professional experience  
In 1990-2000, he worked in international organizations (WHO), representative offices of foreign companies and other business entities, and managed a number of industrial enterprises;
From January 2002 onwards, he held various positions in “National Company “Transport of Oil and Gas” JSC and later in “National Company “KazMunayGas” JSC;
Until 2003, he worked as the Executive Director for Transport Infrastructure and Service Projects of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC;
In 2003-2004 - General Director of “Trade House “KazMunayGas” CJSC;
In 2004-2005 - General Director of “KazRosGas” JSC;
From June to December 2005 – Chief of Staff of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC;
In December 2005, he was appointed General Director of the Union of Legal Entities “Kazakhstan Association of Oil-Gas and Energy Sector Organizations “KAZENERGY”;
From November 2012 till present - Vice Chairman of the Union of Legal Entities “Kazakhstan Association of Oil-Gas and Energy Sector Organizations “KAZENERGY”;
From October 2015 till present – Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mediker LLP;
From May 2016 till present - Chairman of the Committee of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry and Health Care Services of the Presidium of NCE RK “Atameken”

International and public activities

From 2013 - Co-Chair of the Kazakh-Hungarian Business Council;

From 2013 to 2014 - Deputy Chairman of the Energy Charter Conference;

From March 2015 – Special Envoy of the Energy Charter Secretary General;

From 2016 – Honorary Consul of Hungary in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

From July 2017 – Vice President for Marketing and Member of the Executive Committee of the World Petroleum Council (WPC);

Member of the Executive Committee of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation; 

Member of the Council of the Kazakhstan Golf Federation;

Member of the Board of Trustees at the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts.
