World Energy Week-2021in Nur-Sultan:
Bolat Akchulakov invited the members of the national committees of the WEC to the capital of Kazakhstan.
On October 6, a regular meeting of the Executive Assembly of the World Energy Council (WEC) has been held, which was attended by members of the Executive Committee represented by Chairman, Jean-Marie Dauger, Secretary General, Angela Wilkinson and other participants of the WEC.

At the meeting Bolat Akchulakov, General Director of the KAZENERGY Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the National Committee of Kazakhstan. He noted that “as the only representative of the Council from Central Asia, the NCK grasps the importance of international regional cooperation”.

In this regard, “we consider the holding of the World Energy Week in the capital of Kazakhstan as a recognition of the active role of our country, which is an important participant in ensuring regional security”. This event is also significant for Kazakhstan, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence next year.

At the same time, the pandemic situation poses many questions for the organizers regarding the format of the event. Taking into account the challenges, the National Committee of Kazakhstan is ready to hold the Energy Week in an integrated format - offline - online. Modern digital tools will undoubtedly come to the fore, allowing participants to access all the events. All organizational issues will be developed in close contact with the WEC Secretariat. This approach will maximize the minimization of the impact of the pandemic on the safety of people and activities and make it possible to comply with all necessary protective measures.

Holding the next Week in 2021 in Kazakhstan will open for the participants the entire historically unique region of Central Asia, full of new opportunities. “We hope that you will appreciate the vitality, innovativeness and creativity of our city, but especially our people, who really are the source of infinite energy of Kazakhstan”, Akchulakov said to those present.
The participants listened with great interest to the speech of the representative of the National Committee of Kazakhstan and showed a keen interest in our event and expressed their support.
