According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announcing the State of Emergency on the entire territory of the country to prevent COVID – 19 spread, KAZENERGY Association and Shell Kazakhstan decided to extend the application deadlines for “Student Energy Challenge” until 20 April 2020.
The application for participation can be done through KAZENERGY Association website: http://kazenergy.com Home page → Activities → Educational program → Student Energy Challenge → Registration form
The competition is open for all students studying at bachelor and master degree programs. The competition consists of five stages. The number of participating teams from each University is not limited. Information about all stages of “Student Energy Challenge” is available at www.kazenergy.com.
The prize fund of the competition is:
1. 1st place-$ 10,000
2. 2nd place-$ 5,000
3. 3rd place- $ 3,000

На что нужно обращать внимание командам-участникам конкурсе?
Участие в данном конкурсе подразумевает создание/реализация полноценного проекта, следовательно, участники должны распланировать свою работу, составив план работ. При его составлении стоит обращать внимание на то, что существуют риски: форс-мажорные обстоятельства, когда кто-то не успевает сделать свою часть работы или же какой-то фактор, который зависит не от вашей команды может повлиять (внезапная командировка научного руководителя, например). Так же стоит обращать на базовые принципы project managment'a, такие как справедливое распределение работы с упором на сильные стороны членов. ЧИТАЙТЕ ПОЛОЖЕНИЕ КОНКУРСА. Часто бывает, что команды делают что-то неверно, так как не внимательно прочитали правила/требования. Так же не стесняйтесь задавать вопросы.
Что получилось наиболее удачно в этом конкурсе у вас, как у команд?
Не могу выделить какие-либо этапы, так как мы старались выкладываться на каждом этапе. Этап с видеорезюме был самым веселым, так как мы позволили проявиться нашим креативным качествам. Написание репорта был осложнён, что каждый член команды проходил трудовую практику и все мы были в разных организациях. Создание видеопрезентации было чем-то новым, а подготовка к защите отличалась тем, что это был финальный рывок, когда уже эмоции накаляются и усиливается дух соперничества.
Где нужно приложить усилия командам в конкурсе (или на каком этапе конкурса)?
По-моему, командам важно не потерять бдительность во время этапов в летний период. На середину лета выпадает написание паспорта проекта, что является, наверно, самым важным для любого проекта, но там же и крупнейшие окна между дедлайнами, потому у студентов, теряется концентрация, расслабляются, а с приближением сроков, начинают работать нерационально, упуская полезные факты для паспорта и срывая структуру паспорта.

Хотелось бы поделиться своими впечатлениями от данного конкурса «Student Energy Challenge ». Это был прекрасный опыт для всех студентов! И от лица нашей Команды «24 Element» выражаю огромную благодарность компаниям «Shell» & «Kazenergy», всем организаторам.
Будущим командам конкурса мы были рекомендовали:
1. Обязательно отработать выступление перед зрителями, жюри, и подготовиться отвечать на вопросы жюри.
2. Постарайтесь подготовить креативное выступление в полуфинале и финале.
